All of the avatars from different guilds surrounded Les-Skaly. Marple and Vitulus0314 commanded everyone’s healers and buffers,
“All of you, cast [Half-Ethers Minna]!”
Every buffer and healer from different guilds started casting EP-halving buff spell, enabling their fighters, casters and gunners to perform more Ether skills. Marple instructed the buffers and healers,
“Move backward and start increasing casting ranges!”
Marple and Vitulus0314 cast [Range Expansion Lv2] on other buffers and healers to increase their casting coverage. Evyll came late, then he cast a rare skill called [Blessed Curse: Plentiful Ethers]. The rare skill gave Evyll a medium-sized Ether aura that will allow anyone around him regain Ether at a fast rate.
“Rangers, cover Evyll at all costs! He has to be running around for all of us casters, healers and buffers to regain Ether fast!” Marple bossed around.
The four gunners namely Makabosog, Masher321, RavenSythe, and Skrillegrillah ran away from the angered behemoth as ordered by Marple of PraetorsPH.
“Seems that we’ll be protecting someone who’s gonna run around like a fool but showering Ether on our mages eh?” RavenSythe arrogantly asked Skrillegrillah.
“Yeah, though he’s the one so far who have that skill” Skrillegrillah answered.
Skrillegrillah suddenly picked up her fellow humanoid party members like kittens, and cussed at them,
“We won’t make it alive if we run like that!”
The rusty brown robot avatar dashed back to the casters’ formation and prepared their weapons for the next attack. Kruth Weeagasher verbally empowered every melee character in the scene,
“We’re going to cut him down like a tree! Make sure you’re all pumped up!”
Marple replicated her [“Buffers Must Cast” Macro-Strip] and handed them over to other buff-type characters, including Vitulus0314, Evyll, and Arume.
The [Macro-Strip] “Buffers Must Cast” contained the sequence of what skills are meant to be cast on their targets. The automated action queue comprised of [Grasshopper Reflex Lv2], [Falconeye Accuracy Lv2], [Gale Agility Lv2], and [Efficient Splice Lv2], which are all handy for all attacking classes.
“Perform the macro now!” Marple commanded every buffer around her.
The casters buffed everyone in the way, enhancing their combat performance. However, the giant tree monster roared loud that it caught raiding parties stunned by its noise. Hatsumi brought out her [Meteor Hammer], inserted [Electro-Thumper Anima] on her weapon and the spiked ball expelled a shocking aura. Evyll casted the same set of buffs on her, and reminded her,
“Don’t die out there!”
“Trust me!” Hatsumi smiled at Evyll.
“PROVIDE COVER FIRE US, YOU SICK PUPPIES! I’M JOINING TOO!” Lamar Shellburster ordered the rest of the casters and rangers, and joined Hatsumi as well.
Lamar drew his [Fiery Gladius] out and he distracted Les-Skaly. The four-legged tree-like gargantuan creature rushed towards Lamar Shellburster and tried to eat him. Hatsumi whipped the last surviving bio-mechanical thigh-mounted cannon with her [Electrified Meteor Hammer], effectively thumping the weapon for good. However, her weapon got stuck at the remains of the thigh-mounted bio-mechanical cannon, and she was dragged along by the monster. Lamar Shellburster leaped high and attempted to slash the monster’s sentient branches on its chin.
Rennin’s melee group drove towards the rampaging monster and StrarfShine leaped high, and set to whack Les-Skaly’s head with her Mjolnir Hammer. She hammered the monster’s forehead, and brought down a painful electric jolt on the opponent. Les-Skaly dropped Lamar Shellburster to the ground and tried to trample him. Estorille unleashed another swarm of missiles onto the ailing creature, preventing the boss’ attempt to trample her fellow avatar.
“Get on my back, Lamar!” Estorille enticed the RedNext’s leader.
Hatsumi swung her way up, and dropped towards the monster’s back unarmed. She only have her [Hammer] and whacked the defective “tower organ” with all her might. StrarfShine noticed Hatsumi and she also helped in destroying the largest part of Les-Skaly. Rennin and Roy-kun jumped high and began destroying the tower-like organ from the top.
Back at the caster formation, RavenSythe, Skrillegrillah, and other snipers began firing at the head of Les-Skaly with their remaining flame rounds. However, the casters from Mikunopolis started disappearing. Arume ran towards the ailing Les-Skaly and unleashed a strong stream of flames onto the monster’s face from her palms. The monster’s face started to melt, but unknowingly, she damaged StrarfShine’s armored back. After performing the [Streamlinea Ignis] Ether spell, Arume tried to log-off but the burning monster simply chomped her upper half, leaving her lower body logging off.
“If we try to log-off now, with any mob around... We’ll return back to the game dead the next time we log in. That’s just... That’s just disturbing!!!” Estorille voiced out the horror she saw.
This whole Les-Skaly battle lasted for nearly three hours, and the chance for the players to obtain premium cash content is dwindling. One hour more before the monster regenerates. One hour more till their efforts go to waste. One hour more to pull off a miracle...
The “tower” organ of Les-Skaly bloodily exploded, rendering the monster in perpetual rage and any subtle monster-climbing tactic will not work anymore. Les-Skaly shook off everyone on top of his body, and violently swiped Lamar Shellburster back to the casters’ line.
In the nick of time, other members of oppossing guilds united as one, led by Rennin of BusouShinkishi guild. Eisen leaped high and performed his [Brullenkomet Nox] spear skill on the scorching head of Les-Skaly. Rennin and Hatsya performed alternating flash-steps while attacking the maddened monster from behind. Rennin motivated Hatsya,
“Hatsya! We can do this, we’re both lightning fencers for now!”
“Hope this works, Rennin!” Hatsya bantered back.
The two lightning rapier-users dashed towards the enraged monster’s hind legs and attempted to do [Cent-Ennui Fulme] on its feet. The monster’s hind legs suddenly ignited while its disturbing flesh is exposed and shedding green fluid all over the forest.
“We’ve taken down its hind legs!” Hatsya reported to the rest of the raid party.
The gunners of PraetorsPH, Justice4Wazeroth and RedNext gave up shooting the dying behemoth, and instead foolishly tried to cut off the front legs.
Hatsumi snagged Hatsya’s [World Megaphone] and commanded all magic knight-like avatars,
“DO THE [RADIA IGNIS] AND [RADIA FULGUR] SLASH NOW!”
“Not everyone here’s playing magic knight, popstar!” Kruth Weeagasher denied.
Only Crio and Hatsya pulled off the two [Radia ether slashes] on both bleeding hind legs, and they successfully dismembered the behemoth. Hitomi grabbed RavenSythe’s sniper rifle and gunned down the eyes of Les-Skaly with perfect precision.
Unexpectedly, LeijiBiaoqiang and his squad of nearly-identical bot characters spawned right at the battlefield. Leiji’s bots were programmed to foolishly mow down the legs of Les-Skaly as if they treated it as one large-sized regular mob. The chin-mounted redwood branch-like tendrils grabbed two of Leiji’s bots and were devoured by Les-Skaly himself.
In the nick of time, a dog-headed sniper in a motorcycle snatched LeijiBiaoqiang away from his dying bot squad members. It turned out to be AnathemaKorlov herself and she reprimanded the young bot master,
“I freaking told you not to fight with your bot army, you pipsqueak!”
“I... I... I can’t help it, Anathema! I need money out of that monster!” LeijiBiaoqiang pleaded.
“What will you do if the GMs find out suspicious concurrent connections from your home then?”
“Tell them that I play from internet cafe?”
“You’re really a daring fool, Leiji!”
The two headed back to the casters’ formation. Far behind the casters’ formation, a green gecko-headed humanoid, named Geckkin, aimed his bulky [Prototype Gravity Cannon] at the head of Les-Skaly at extreme distance and he mumbled first,
“Ren, if you’re defeating this monster right now... Thank me later for the miracle I’ll do!”
Geckkin fired the [Prototype Gravity Cannon] and a high-impact, high-velocity bullet violently distorted Les-Skaly’s face.
Marple was shocked at the monster’s disfigured face and babbled,
“S-some loner dealt an epic damage on that monster? W-who could that be?”
Hatsya, Rennin, and their fellow guildmates were even horrified at the damaged monster’s face. The monster they fought, Les-Skaly, was reduced into a mere bear in a disturbing treant fashion. It cried in severe pain, all thanks to its bounty-hungry boss hunters. Hatsumi seemed to be connected to the monster as she calmly approached the creature and tried to hug its leg wounds. The monster purred calmly, and its chin tendrils pulled her upward. Eisen suddenly trolled Roy-kun and Hatsya,
“Oh lover boys! Do something with that crazed girl before she gets Mami-fied!”
Roy-kun drew his [Hatsukaze Katana] and he performed a [Vacuum Slash] on the monster’s neck. Hatsya jumped higher then cut down the tendrils. He threw Hatsumi to the ground, and he was instead swallowed by the deceiving boss, even though it didn’t have sufficient means to eat any avatar properly. Hatsumi cried at Roy-kun’s chest, after seeing Hatsya being swallowed by the boss.
The operatic situation escalated further that there was still one poisonous thorn-spitting cannon intact. The lone bio-mechanical cannon gunned down everyone close to its dying body. Roy-kun suffered five shots at its nape, spine and two on his buttocks. Eisen’s left eye, both knees and his torso were also hit by the rampaging spike cannon. Hotaru mysteriously died, as many of the spikes were fired on his face. Crio suffered severe poison damage, as his chest and neck were gunned down as well. Estorille and Rennin died due to her motorcycle’s explosion, all thanks to the cannon that went amok on their party.
Eisen suddenly stabbed Hatsumi, Crio and Roy-kun, then used their remaining life force for an unnamed Dark Desperation Technique. He rushed towards the monster’s underbelly and spiralled himself upward, forcibly drilling through the monster’s body and ended it with a spear throw to the bloody ground. The [Dark Ox Tongue Spear] suddenly caused a purple energy explosion beneath the dying creature.
Meanwhile, inside Les-Skaly’s body, Hatsya is still alive, though suffering in poison debuff, and living with 23% hit points. He tried to climb out from the dying creature before he die along with the monster due to Eisen’s attacks. Hatsya thought to himself,
“I’ll die anyway right here... Time for me to use that Ether skill!”
Hatsya pressed the monster’s innards with his palm and cast [Judgelight Repelling]. A beam of light penetrated through the monster’s thick skin, coincidently exploded alongside the dark energy explosion caused by Eisen’s desperate offensive skill. In the end, Hatsya died inside Les-Skaly with a last-ditch effort.
Unexpectedly, Arnval, ClaraEukrante, and AobaAnoaAndrea, the aerial mount owners of BusouShinkishi guild, pulled off the last strike by crazily ramming their vehicles to the monster’s disfigured head.
Everyone who took part in the battle received a mysterious [Reward Pack PDB-001] box item and they received a call from the mysterious girl from the frigate above Kanpeki Sekai,
“T-Thank you... We’ll be deploying there tomorrow. B-be sure to drop in and enjoy our stuff, guys!”

Four o’clock in the afternoon, right after the ending of the first World Boss battle, Ren yawned loud at his room. Ren complained to himself while rubbing his back,
“Owwww! That battle surely didn’t let us go for a while!”
Ren left his house and met Roy at the public hallway. Roy aired out his frustration,
“That wasted a lot of my time, Ren!”
“Me too, I didn’t know that fighting that monster will take like three hours or more!”
“Worse, we all died fighting that monster though. But hey, I died with a girl” Roy smirked.
“And so am I!” Ren retorted.
Unexpectedly awkward, their moms pulled them back home...

At Henry’s room, Henry stretched his arms upward, yawned a bit, and playfully re-enacted his in-game avatar’s dying animation in his bed. He spoke to himself softly,
“Pops, that’s one long, well-drawn battle we all have there... Though that made me really tired...”
Henry sighed and fell asleep for a moment. While lying in bed, pretending as his avatar Hatsya, Henry mumbled,
“Our game really gave us a feeling of reenacting different Japanimation action drama sequences, dad. Though, one thing bothered me, why didn’t our team make a boss monster first, and instead use a fan’s work first?”

Mikhail moved away from his computer for a moment, and went to his terrace laughing madly to himself,
“That’s really possible. Use your friends as sacrifices! Though I’ll find that personally retarded if I’ll do that on my friends offline too” Mikhail sighed for a moment, and mumbled further,
“For some reason, nearly everyone else except me cared for Hatsumi. Why is that? Probably I suspect most of them having some form of connection between them”
Mikhail’s mom heard his mumbling and candidly asked him,
“Who are you talking to, son?”
“Nah, just something happened in one of the shows I’m watching”
“Mikhail, I hope you’re not getting carried away too much on whatever Eastern media you’re consuming” Mikhail’s mom reminded him, then she went back to her room.

Hatsumi sighed after receiving the World Boss Raid reward pack, and contemplated her in-game incident,
“Is that really a feeling of being a damsel in distress? That every boy and every man will give up their lives to save you? Though I didn’t expect that Eisen will kill my avatar later on”

Carlito, Ren’s father, was glad to at least play NOAH with him, even for few minutes with a decent effort against the world boss. Carlito e-mailed Ren,
[Ren, this is daddy Carlito!
I’m the lizard guy who took down the bear’s face so bad.
Please, don’t tell mom that I’m no longer just working as a linesman.
Someone from something called K-Corp offered me a job involving
this online gaming craze. I’m playing bounty hunter online, and per
Banning Kill I make, I get three to five-figure bounty for it]
Carlito remembered his family in the Philippines, and is still bothered about his second awkward job.

Roy went back to his room, and began sketching the unbearable scene of carnage portrayed in the Les-Skaly world boss event. He drew his dying in-game friends first, and his avatar in the middle.

Orion calmly asked the Forum Team to unlock and unhide all of the Les-Skaly-related articles and threads. Unexpectedly, Orion received a phone call from someone in Japan,
“Good evening, Kanlaon-san!”
“Kanzaki-sama, what is it?” Orion calmly asked.
“I have observed your game’s progress. So far, your game moderators are doing their jobs well. However, there are those cunning offenders like that AushMariano420 of yours who evaded several bans in different online games, and now, we’re now eyeing on a certain group of botters. So, I, president of the Kanzaki Multimedia Corporation, have decided to beef up your security by appointing Reapers. Those Reapers are provided with seemingly-rare-grade gear, but are actually GM weapons built to instantly ban any offending avatar”
“Hirohito Kanzaki, who are you to commandeer my game’s future?”
“I am one of your kickstarters, Orion. Never forget. I’ll be sending someone again to watch over NOAH tomorrow”
The Japanese guy on the other line giggled for a moment, and he praised,
“So far, I am impressed at your first World event, it gave me much drama”
Marietta and others overheard their conversation, so Marietta asked first,
“The Kanzaki is now gaining administrative footing in our NOAH project now?”
“Yes. I felt like I asked help from devil-tailed angel investors. Let’s just hope that the Kanzakis know what the hell are they doing. If not, Eden might untap something we may not all know as we speak...”
